How to buy your own web address for $10 + What to do after that?

I recommend VentraIP because they're Aussie-owned and won't try to trick you with hidden fees at checkout.

SAFE & SECURE SETUP: I need to link your new domain name to my hosting system so your site goes live. Instead of handing over your private password, the safest method is to add me as a Technical Contact inside your VentraIP account. It keeps your master login completely secure! That's in Step 7 below.
  1. Open VentraIP.com.au and click on Domains.
  2. Type in your preferred website address. It's easiest and probably best to use the business name you're already known as, and then end it with .com.au (Or you could choose .com or even just .au).
  3. You don't need anything else here. Click Next Step.
  4. Choose how long you want to register it for. One year is fine.
  5. Add hosting? Say No.
  6. Checkout and complete your purchase.
  7. Grant Technical Access:
    • Log into your new VentraIP VIPControl dashboard.
    • Click on your account name/avatar in the top right corner and select Authorized Contacts.
    • Click Add New Contact, input my email address: , and select the permission option for Domain Management.
      • Alternatively, if you're not comfortable messing with things like this, use the Contact form below to send me your login details (email + password) and I will take care of this for you, then please change your password... for peace of mind.
  8. Drop me a quick confirmation note via the Contact form to let me know your new domain name.

And after that?

  1. Your last step is to Approve and Subscribe.

Within 24 hours...

Your new site will be live online at the new web address you've just registered, and I'll confirm that to you.
